Mark Feijao Milligan

Born on St. Croix, USVI — U.S. National Congressional Art winner with the opportunity to represent the U.S. Virgin Islands and feature his work in the U.S. Capitol. Feijão has exhibited at the Frederiksted Fort Museum (U.S.V.I.), Avante Yard (NY), BOE Laboratory (DC), the Corridors Gallery (NY), the Plaza Club (HI), Louis Pohl Gallery (HI), Honolulu Museum of Art School (HI), Maui Arts & Cultural Center (HI), the First Hawaiian Center (HI), the ARTS at Marks Garage (HI) and the Caribbean Museum Center for the Arts (U.S.V.I.). He has painted murals for the Central Park SummerStage, Adidas and Pow! Wow! Feijão has also done live art, on stage, for the Former Vice President Al Gore, Lauryn Hill and De La Soul.

 
 

Ernesto Yerena Montejaño

Born in El Centro, CA, a farming town bordering Mexicali, BC, Mexico. Identifying as Chicano and Native/Indigenous to the land he is Ancestrally rooted. Those roots are represented in his work in the color pallet, symbolism and iconography. Yerena creates in the vibration of love, empowered with messages of dignity and sovereignty. In 2008 Yerena created the Hecho Con Ganas publishing project in which he produces conscience imagery that are produced in limited edition silkscreen prints. Highly recognized for his activism, Yerena is the founder and curator of the Alto Arizona Art campaign (2010) as well as a founding member of the We Are Human campaign (2009). Yerena has collaborated on many thought-provoking projects which include artists Zack de la Rocha, Shepard Fairey, Manu Chao, Ana Tijoux, Philip Lumbang, Jaque Fragua, Diane Ovalle, Chuck D, and Mochilla.

Karen Samuel

Born and raised on St. John recognized for her beautiful contemporary scenes of island life, her work aims to capture the subtle, unsung grace and dignity of the Virgin Islanders. She committed many years as an arts educator to St John children at Guy Benjamin School. Samuel is also known as a quilter and clothing designer working from her design studio in Coral Bay, Kareso.
